Copenhagen 4/2-2018. 33 cl bottle from Vin de Table, Frederikssundsej, Kbh. NV. The usual BRAW design with the little chubby bottle with a very crowded, green label. The point of the label seems to be that there is a lot of hops of the American and New World variety in this beer.
Pours opaque hazy golden, yellow with a bubbly white head. Settles as a thin transparent layer of foam clinging to the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is pretty intense and on the bitter and citric side. Strong odor of bitter, citric grapefruit and lemon. Lighter sweet notes of exotic fruit. Some tart white wine.
Soft carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by prominent bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and finish is semi-dry.
Bitter without being overly aggressive. Fresh and fruity - and with a serious but well camouflaged ABV. What's not to like?
