Copenhagen 9/6 2018. 33 cl little chubby bottle from Østerbro Vin & Spiritus, Østerbrogade, Kbh. Ø. Simple white label with a big "Cool" and a lesser "Beans" in red.
Pours murky, opaque brownish yellow with a medium-sized white head. Settles as a 1 cm thick blanket of foam. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is sharp and citric. Grapefruit and citrus in abundance providing an acerbic and acidic odor. I can actually smell a little coffee in the zesty citrus feast. There is some sweetness but its quite subdued. Fresh and fruity - if you are into citrus fruits.
Soft carbonation. Providing light prickly mouth sensation. Medium thick, soft texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by slightly stronger citric bitterness. A little thin. Aftertaste is bitter. A hint of coffee in the bitterness.
Not exactly pretty but an interesting take on a IPA. It would not be too bad if BRAW added this to their permanent selection.
