This year's new winter brew, a cozy Belgian monastery double at 5.7%, the color is deep brown with a dense white head, while the taste and aroma are unmistakably Belgian with dried fruit, nuts and milk chocolate galore.
Sweet and intense and a little too much. That's Stjernestund.

Copenhagen 28/7 2016. 40 cl bottle from SuperBrugsen. Nørrebro Bryghus’ elegantly designed bottle with their geometric design. A little motto on the label "Sweet & Intense".
Pours clear dark reddish brown with an off-white head. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer.
Aroma is sweet and of dried fruit - figs, raisins and dates, brown sugar, fermented fruit and caramel.
Medium strong carbonation and oily palate.
Flavor is more sweet than intense. Quite watery actually. Heavy sweetness followed by a light bitterness. Lingering sweet aftertaste.
If this beer had a higher ABV it might have been something the monks could have used to "lift their thoughts".
