Copenhagen 30/1 2016. 40 cl bottle from Kvickly, Nørrebrogade, Kbh. N. A hand grabbing a tomato on the label. Maybe to throw it after the police.
Pours hazy dark brown with a beige head. Stable. Settles as a 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing on the side of the glass.
Aroma is surprisingly fresh. A little whiff of nuts and caramel supplemented by tart fruitiness.
Soft carbonation and slightly thick palate. Gently tingling texture.
Flavor is sweet caramel and nuts but nicely balanced by a pronounced bitterness in the aftertaste. Stays with me for a while.
Very nice Brown Ale - well balanced and avoid being too sweet.
