It's Easter Sunday and I'm catching up on reviews, so what could be better than giving, this day, Our Daily Bread? Like all of Steady Habit's IPAs it's a spiritual experience: pouring a bright, fluorescent yellow with a bit of amber for good measure. Cloudy and glorious, the nose wafts big citrus and tropical notes. There's definitely something mango in there. The taste is pure Steady Habit; bold and fruity but also dry and inviting. Our Daily Bread deserves all of the praise it has received and then some.

Poured from a 32 oz growler into a teku glass. The color is hazy and beautiful. Looks like a Trillium beer with that haze. The smell is pure mango. And the taste is liquid gold. I am happy that this was chosen to be steady habit's flagship beer, this beer is truly world class.

Poured carefully into a tulip glass, this beer has a beautiful orange-yellow color with a soft bright white head. This beer is chock full of citrus, citrus and more citrus with a hint of pine. The first few gulps were refreshing and bracing. But after drinking ¾ of the growler it was getting too acidic and gritty. It’s just over the top with astringency. Not really chalky, but you feel like you've chugged a quart of grapefruit/orange/tangerine juice by the time you’re done. The bottom 1/4 of the growler was basically a pulpy cream-colored mud. And I let this baby sit for several weeks before popping it. For my taste, I’d prefer a more balanced IPA that pulls back on the citrus just a hair and adds more malt to the backbone for this otherwise delicious brew.

Poured from a growler into a tulip...minimal head with a bit of long lasting lacing. Mirky, swampy, cloudy orange-ish...dank looking... Maybe some mango on the nose...faint cat-pissy-ness. Taste is juicy...cat-pissy in a good way, really good way...smooth and bitter feel...I really like this...yum

On tap at 2 Bros. Pours a hazy burnt orange color with an inch of head. The aroma is very fruity. Lots of lacing. Tropical and citrus fruits. Mango, lime, and maybe some berries. Taste is tropical fruits again. Mango, papaya, lime and lemon. Some bready flavor as well. Some melon towards the finish. Hint of pine with some herbal notes. Medium bodied. Creamy mouthfeel. I'm surprised this is only 6%. Overall, I'm impressed and look forward to trying more from Steady Habit.
