Quick review:
Mmm! Another winner from Steady Habit. While arguably not as memorable as Bread, Method, or Coalesce, AHAAD: Equinox/Galaxy certainly holds its own. Very much melon, orange peel and white grape driven, it finishes delightfully bitter and deliciously dry! Some of the best lacing I've ever seen from a beer. The beauty of Steady Habit's pale ales/IPAs is that they finish dry which really lets the IBUs shine. Very well crafted, as always.

What a beautiful pour. Wow. Radiant orange mixed with haze and sunshine, and a solid finger of creamy head resting majestically on top. The nose is intensely aromatic with pronounced notes of orange squeeze, ripe melon and white grapes. As it warmed I was reminded of Christina Aguilera basking in the glow of motherhood. Drawing me in closer, I can smell the persimmon on her lips and I can taste the passion fruit from the nape of her neck. Slow down, Hunter®, it's only just beginning. The taste follows with enough tropical goodness to shut down the produce industry for an entire summer. Juicy up front, and moderately bitter on the back end. A brilliant balance of features that left hops dancing on my tongue like Baryshnikov in his prime. Faint hints of bready malt; delicate texture; dry finish. Talk about a genie in a bottle. Steady Habit just granted my taste buds three wishes and more. I simply can't get enough of what these guys are doing, and I really hope that more beer lovers in Connecticut make the trek to Haddam. You won't be sorry. And, for the people who are regular customers, do them a favor and review their beers! Oh, Christina. I can still picture you on Ellen's couch bearing the bountiful fruits of your labor. Please don't make me say it. Fine, I'll say it. Larrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrge.
