L - hazy and opaque. Light hits it nicely.
S - very rich aroma. Ripe fruits. Mango. Peach.
T - fruits are out in full force! Sweet, but not cloying. Hops balance the initial fruity blast with a dry finish and lingering bitterness. A two-faced beer and quite the ride.
F - smooth and fluffy. Full. Satisfying.
O - jumped at the opportunity to try this beer! Glad I did. Two amazing CT breweries and I am not let down. Will probably be hard to find this ever again which is a damn shame.

Growler into Duvel tulip.
Appearance: Hazy gold. Long lasting frothy white head. Coats the glass in lacing.
Smell: Amazing melon, lime, slight tropical fruit aroma--specific fruit words like that are always approximations, but especially so here (in a good way). The hop aroma just gets bigger and deeper and better with time, and is only uplifted by the mild booziness. Just perfect. I swear you could leave this beer in an open glass for 6 hours, come back, and it's still one of the best IPAs you've ever put your nose to. Unbelievable.
Taste: Follows the nose, with earthy, pungent, sometimes candylike hop flavors. Malt backbone is biscuity/crackery, noteworthy in the amount of character it has in relation to most top notch IPAs these days. With time, succulent hop flavor and the beer's dryness dominate the malt out a bit, but that's not a flaw. Start with being wowed by the malt, end by falling in love with the hops.
8% makes itself felt just by the boldness of the flavor and a little heft to the body. Not hot, and certainly not solvent-like at all. The aroma is so huge and excellent, the flavor can't really be described without commenting on how enhanced the taste is by the world of hops you have wafting up at you.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, maybe a bit fuller than that. Good carbonation. Dry finish that matches the hop succulence perfectly, like so many Steady Habit beers. An extra .25 for how well the 8% serves these flavors and this feel.
Overall: This might be the best Steady Habit beer yet, which, if you see my other reviews of this brewery you know, is saying a lot. This hop flavor is just brilliant, and the malt backbone that Ed from Lasting Brass brought is excellent as well--definitely looking forward to seeing what his brewery puts out. I picked up 2 growlers of this... it will be a struggle to not kill the second one tonight. I hope this is brewed again.

On tap at Camille's pizza in CT.
Wow. Quite exceptional.
I got the first pour out of the keg and it was mildly yeast-y. Later pours cleared right up though.
Smell is quite mild, hints of citrus. A little bit of a grainy feel to it, but that's almost assuredly due to my early pour.
Taste is on point. Strong citrus with an intense hop bite.
Looking forward to more from SH and LB

L: I Love the way this beer looks. Depending on how the light hits it, it ranges from gold to pale orange. The body is hazy but not murky. The head is creamy and white and leaves a thick and spotted lacing.
S: Refreshing is the best way to describe the smell. So much citrus aroma that's complemented with just a hint of tropical fruits.
T: Like the smell, the beer tastes super refreshing. Grapefruit peel smacks you in the mouth at first. Then you get a hint of piney resin. I also pick up traces of pineapple and honey dew.
F: The body is on point. What's more, the malt backbone is sturdy and does a great job of letting the aggressive hopping do its thing. This is decidedly a Steady Habit beer, but there are definitely some new tricks going on here. It's a fantastic collaboration brew, and it gives me high hopes for Lasting Brass!

This beer has a nice golden color with tropical aroma that hits your right away. I kind of described this beer as a mightier Our Daily Bread, but distinctively different. A nice grapefruit taste throughout paired with a nice malt backbone. A great collaboration with Ed of Lasting Brass.
