Dialed in again. Huge aromas of almond and coconut. Luscious dark malt balanced off by the sweetness of vanilla and coconut but with a wonderfully exotic almond flavor. Similar to Big Bad Bunny but add in the almond. More please John!!!

Growler filled on 1/16/16, reviewed on 1/17/16
Look: Pours a very VERY dark brown with a dark khaki head.
Smell: SAMOAS!!! Not too far off from their Big Bad Bunny, but this has more roast malt character coming through along with the additional ingredients.
Taste: Toasted almond and coconut mingle together initially, turns super chocolate-y at midpalate, then finishes with more almond, Hershey's Syrup, vanilla, and a bit of spice from the 8% ABV. Woah.
Feel: Sticky, though not a cloying beer, with a very graceful and smooth finish. If I had to pick on something, it'd be that it feels a bit thin, but at this level of drinkability (hey, where'd that glass go?), I'd say that it works.
Overall: This beer is an absolute treat of a dessert beer; just the right level of sweetness here, and enough of the malt character to remind you that this is beer. No one flavor is dominant here, and even at 8%, it's hard not to just guzzle it all down. I'm especially loving the Hershey's Syrup flavors here, especially since there's no chocolate added. Excellent work, guys!

Pleasantly surprised with this beer. Pours brownish black, mimicking the look of a heavily used motor oil. Thankfully it tasted much better. Honestly, it reminds me a lot of the flavors that come out in Last Snow. If you're in CT, don't waste your time trading for Funky Buddha when you have one that is comparable if not better in your back yard. I'm eager to try more from this brewery.
