Not sure if I have an old can (no date, received as an extra in a trade) but the chunky white floaties throughout the entire beer make this is possibly the ugliest beer I've seen other than a 17-year-old Sam Adams Triple Bock (yuck!). Then we're on to the lovely onion aroma; however, I've gotten past that as a major detractor in certain Mosaic and Galaxy beers by now so that doesn't ruin it for me. Everything else about the beer is great; nice tropical fruit, slight grassy pine, nothing else that would make me think the beer is past its prime.
Overall I enjoyed this a lot and would be glad to try more IPAs from SHBC.
