A: Pours a cloudy yellow color. At first a two finger white head forms and recedes in a second. Not much lace is left behind.
S: Banana esters, clove, and spice all up front and enjoyable. A bit of a sulfur aroma, but I don't find that to overdone. Simple, but enjoyable.
T: Again, banana esters clove and spice. With just a touch of sulfur, I don't really find that uncommon for the style and it is very much in the background. Then comes tart lemon rind and bready/doughy malts which make this excellent.
M/O: A light and soft body. Maybe too thin for my liking, but still nice. It could pop a bit more though. This really grows on me. Something I can come back to again and again.
I have had several versions of this, and I think they have really dialed it in from the first time I tried it. Very enjoyable and well made. I wish the body was more vibrant because I think that hurts this the most. Though still really well done, and would love to try this next to Holler's Hefe. Both probably the the best in Houston.
