Whole Foods described this beer as an old ale aged on dates. The taste is reminiscent on the stout family, possible use of lactose. I don't really taste an old ale here nor do I get any flavor that I would relate to the dates. The overall flavor of the beer is solid, it's an enjoyable stout in my book. I am disappointed in the taste of the final product versus the description Whole Foods provided for their product.
