neat that these guys are allowing these new upstart breweries yet to be born to come in and make beer with them. id like to see the beer get tidied up a bit, but neat to have these broken spine guys on board so close to home. this one has a dunkel look to it, and not much head, which proves to be costly in feel too. i like my belgian beers really bubbly, even the strong ones, and this is well short of that mark. the flavor is nice though, classic belgian yeast strain gives banana and spice notes, maybe even red apple in there too. the malt is sweet, not all the way fermented out, so maybe the recipe needs a little tweaking if dryness is desired, if not, whatever sugar they used for extra gravity tastes pretty good. more carbonation and this would actually be a pretty impressive brew. the abv is right on point for the style, and all the flavors are in line. on its way to being delicious.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
