not a bad little brew right here, made at grandmas house by a yet to exist brewery called two creeks. cool they let folks do that. this is to me more of a german altbier than anything else, similar german style grain base, amber in color, mostly clear, tan foam head three quarters of an inch tall with decent retention. the nose is really understated, german yeast and the back end of a grain bill that was sweet once upon a time, but now is pretty cleaned up. not a whole lot going on with the smell, but its not boring either. a german crackery malt base, minor crystal malt sweetness, munich base, and some mellow meadowy hops that now seem nice for spring. the yeast interests me, warm or cold, top or bottom, its tough to tell with it. a relaxed but efficient strain to say the least. i have liked all the two creeks beers ive had so far here, and look forward to seeing them open up on their own someday. props again to grandmas house for allowing these guests in here! cool project.
