the latest offering from these guys, who are fast improving in my opinion. the beers have all gotten better, but this is the first new recipe i have seen in some time. really dark red color to it, quite intense in its brick shades, and crystal clear. the head is short in stature but rather dense it texture, milkshake frothy. it smells nice too, pine hops with a honey and caramel sweetness from the malt, more hoppy than expected for the color. extremely well balanced flavor profile, these can get messy and sugary, but not here. it ends up piney and oily, but somewhat on the dry side, certainly for a red beer or amber type it is. really boldly flavored though, but calculated. either that or its a real happy accident. so awesome to see the beers here trending in the right direction, i was worried there for a minute, but this is a great step forward for them, and one im sure ill do some damage on. really nice summer to fall transitional brew as well.
