a cranberry gose, some ambitious beers coming out of here lately. its pretty ruby pink from the tap with pretty good clarity and a lazy layer of airy white to light pink bubbles. aroma is good on the cranberry side, tart and astringent and a little medicinal. the sour side smells a little cheesy and unclean, but its not unappealing, very prominent acidity is evident. the flavor is almost all cranberries and the souring bacteria, lemony lacto is better than it smells but still a little unrefined, while the cranberry aspect is awesome, super puckery and natural tasting and lots of it. the problem here for me is the lack of beer flavor, we get so little from the wheat, including body where this feels pretty thin, and the salt element is hardly evident at all. i wish there was a little more of both in here, it seems more like juice than beer without them unfortunately, but the flavors are agreeable and its nice to see these guys trying this kind of thing. the cranberry flavor is excellent but the rest of the beer needs a little fine tuning...
