Bought and consumed in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. The beer is a typical clear golden color with a slightly sweet also typical grainy smell and some honey. Taste is nothing too exceptional. Has a bit of hoppiness near the end, but mostly grainy sweetness. A smooth beer without too kuch to think about. Not bad, but I'd start with something else.

we had quite a few beers from domingo 7, who ended up never really making anything that impressed e much while we were in costa rica, try as we did to find one we liked, they just seemed on the whole to be putting out a slightly lower quality product than the best beers we had. this one is interesting, looks like a direct copy of magic hat number 9 on the label, and falls into a trap that a lot of the small breweries here do, which is making a light blonde or golden ale to appeal to the masses, but in the process making a mediocre and samey beer that has little appeal to the craft beer geek. the pilsen and imperials of the country have these covered, and while i appreciate a craft over a macro anything, seeing so many beers like this was disappointing, it contributes little. its sweeter than it needs to be, tastes almost corny, and isnt as light in body or well carbonated as i would like it to be in this style. more filling than refreshing unfortunately, but i guess if you want a little more substance or just cant take another imperial, this could be a good option for the golden/blonde drinker. i liked pretty much all of their other beers more than this, and what they lacked in overall quality, they made up for pretty well with originality. this was my least favorite that we had from these guys, it just doesnt accomplish its objective very well i dont think...

Pours yellow, almost golden, hazy with a very nice white foam head. Aroma is malty, no hops. Taste is sweet and malty, no hops, low bitterness. Medium body with high carbonation. This is a very mild beer in every aspect but carbonation.

This is one of the first releases of the new microbrewery-branch of the Cerveceria de Costa Rica trying to get a piece of the pie (Apperently fast growing artesanal beer market).

A: Golden hue, very crystalline brew, thin white head without retention

N: Maybe some grains on the nose but practically no aromas coming out this beer evendough I was trying to swirl it in the glass

T: Very light body, lager like taste, no hop flavors whatsoever neither bitterness. Some grain, cereal notes high astringency.

AT: Very dry sensation that covers your mouth and lingers for a long time.

OA: A beer for a person that is moving forward from the American adjunct lagers to the Ale world.

PS:
The FiF.Co recently bought Magic Hat Brewing Company in South Burlington, Vermont. It is kinda disappointing that for this brew they practically copied the logo of the #9 beer of Magic hat.
