Bought in Liberia, CR and consumed in Playa Grande. A classic looking bock with a slightly dark character and an ok off-white to tan head. Smell has a lot of toasted malt and caramel with some toffee and bread. A slight sweetness of brown sugar and some sort of unexpected dark fruit, maybe raisin. Taste has much of the same, heavy on the toasted malt and caramel. There is a slight balancing bitterness in the finish that is earthy and almost leather. Smooth. Overall this is a very good bock and a fantastic find here in Costa Rica. Recommended.

Purchased in Tamarindo CR grocery store. Bottle dated April 30th 2020 into pint glass. Pours a medium- dark Amber with off white head. Fairly typical for an amber ale. Medium mouthfeel. Finish is unremarkable.

Pours a deep clear amber with a white head. Tastes of toasty malt with a bit of fruitiness. Much more flavorful than expected, with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Released earlier this 2014 with the #7, this beer is good, amber but crystalline clean color white head with no retention, well carbonated, in the flavor department is slightly sweet, with grainy flavors, bread, dry fruits, no bitterness whatsoever and a light to medium body. Also very dry beer due to its huskiness and tannins.
Nice bock beer!
