Some muted candied fruits and stale mango on the nose. There's a hint of the floral Mosaic character, but it doesn't explode onto your nose like the name implies. Some caramel like sweet malty characteristics come alive as the beer warms up, and something resembling mango tickles the back end of the nose close to room temperature.
Diluted mango juice at like a 10% concentration is the initial sensation on the tongue. Before I have time to conjure up any other palatal notes about the beer, a harsh bitterness washes away any resemblance of flavor that was present before. For 50 IBUs the bitterness is extremely pronounced, but not so much in a pleasant way. Some hints of lemon peels appear right before the bitter strikes as the beer warms up but it's a very brief cameo.
Light-bodied like most PONG DANG beers. I've complained about this before, I've never particularly wanted to get a refill of most PONG DANG beers because they have almost as much mouthfeel as unfiltered water. Light to moderate carbonation, doesn't really enhance the drinking experience in any way.
Like most PONG DANG beers this becomes an undrinkable sweet malty mess within 15-20 minutes of serving, although the bitter stays around slightly longer with this one. Perhaps I drink too slow?
