Small pour. Pours a pitch black color with a thin foamy head. Minimal retention and lacing. Big mint chocolate aroma with bourbon. Same on taste. Very smooth. Mint comes through more than bourbon. Medium to heavy bodied with carbonation.

Thanks to rudzud
Small black head, medium retention, decent lacing and long legs, pitch black beer

Nose is just a huge Andes mint, loads of fresh mint, some dark chocolate, spearamint gum, little fudgey dark circulate, mint choc ice cream, barely any base beer

Taste tons of mint again, fair chocolate, creamy mint choc ice cream again and York peppermint patty, fresh Andes mint, but then slight medicinal mint breath freshener, gets so minty later almost hard to drink,

Mouth is fuller bod rich little creamy, light med carb, lighter alcohol, little sticky

Overall way too mint

Received in a trade and shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice oily black with a thinnish mocha head that fades to leave light lacing and a thin blanket. Excellent legs.

S - Big aromas of chocolate soaked Andes mints. Super minty while staying fresh. The mint effectively tricks the nose into not noticing the alcohol. Flashes of barrel but this really smells minty.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of slightly sweet malts and dark chocolate syrup. The mint notes are excellent, deeper mint chocolate going on. There is nice rich chocolate and peppermint patty. The mint borders on being too aggressive though.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, creamy, silky, alcohol hidden nicely.

O - Overall this was a solid enough stout. The mint was borderline aggressive. I wish I had another bottle to age and see if the mint calmed down.
