Pours pitch black with a thin foamy head. Head retention is very mild. Lacing is good. Thick chocolate and coffee aroma. Roasted malty goodness. The taste is the same. Thick chocolate goodness. Heavy bodied with mild carbonation.

Received in a trade and shared with JLindros. 750ml bottle /120.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark black hue with a fat dark chocolate head that fades to leave super thick lacing.
S - Big aromas of chocolate chip cookie dough, dark chocolate. Tons of bourbon and oak with light vanilla. Really rich with not much alcohol I the nose.
T - Taste is similar to the nose with loads of sweeter malts. Tons of sweet oak barrel and tons of bourbon. There is a bunch of chocolate chip cookies and vanilla barrel.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, creamy, smooth. Not much alcohol, however, it creeps up pretty quickly. Great body.
O - Overall this was a very solid imperial stout. The barrel here is delicious. As great as this is though splitting a 750 two ways is still pretty rough.

Huge mocha foamy bubbly semi dense head with great retention, soapy lacing, pitch black thick inky color
Nose plenty of dark chocolate cocoa, cookie dough big sweet bourbon, juicy bourbon, baking spices, light vanilla, fudgey caramel, hint fruity
Taste sweet heavy syrupy stout, quite sweet thick chewy, little alcohol, big bourbon juice, rich bourbon candy and vanilla barrel, heavy little briny like bitterness and char, char roast notes, some dark chocolate and little cookie dough, good bitterness spicy hop and bitter roasted malt, drier briny spicy bitter finish, flash of alcohol, lingering bourbon and barrel with dark chocolate roast
Mouth is fuller bod, rich chewy thick, medium lighter carb, some warming alcohol
Overall mixed, some great notes but took spicy briny and not complex at all, good bourbon, but syrupy heavy
