Archival review based on old notes: to redo once I sample again.
Aroma and flavor is dominated by cereal grain. Coffee and a bit of cocoa here as well. Mildly sweet with a finish that's too bitter for my liking. It's OK, but I don't think the particular grain bill worked for me. But props to them for trying given their gluten-free constraint.

A: appears opaque and dark brown, but if held to the light, it's crystal clear with very nice mahogany highlights; 1 finger fizzy tan head that receded to a wisp cap with a thick collar; no lacing;
S: mostly black coffee with a bit of chocolate behind it;
T: follows the nose through the middle; the finish is dominated by an off putting burnt character that makes you reach for water instead of another sip;
M: a little thinner than expected; moderate carbonation; dry finish;
O: nicely made beer, just doesn't taste good;

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
