DATE: November 9, 2022... OCCASION: a well-earned four-day weekend begins with a solid GF beer I picked up in King of Prussia a few weeks ago... this pours a lively, sizzling, golden body swirling with sediment and upstreaming effervescence... nearly a minute later, its off-white foam retains a quarter-finger's worth of its original two fingers... framed within its style, a picture-perfect pour... classic (though faint) hop varieties here (Cascade, Centennial, Amarillo) form a holy trinity of grapefruit, orange, and floral effects that overtake any subtle attempts at back-end balance (a.k.a., millet, quinoa)... wow, is this easy drinking--light at the throat with a bit of retention, while the teeth experience a tingle from the hops but not enough to impress or shake up the scene... refreshing, dry, clean and right in line with the targeted session ale effects... the flavor profile offers orange, lemon and grapefruit, a bit of garden hose, soft herbs and the floral overtones suggested by its aroma... it plays its role well, an all-day offering that gives enough without overpowering, leaving an easy experience...as session ales are not my first choice of style, I will seek other Aurochs beers out when I head back to Hazleton... keep up the gluten-free work, gents!

12 oz bottle

Pours slightly hazy golden, coarse white head dissipates to a bit of lacing.

Smells of sweet cereal malt, light piney and herbal hops, and lemongrass.

Flavor is of cereal and corn, dry pine and earthy herbal hops. Grassy finish, bit of citrus.

Light to medium body, stinging carbonation on the roof of the mouth.

Pretty decent session pale. It doesn't pass for a gluten grain beer, but it's a pretty close approximation and would probably please most gluten free beer drinkers who miss the taste of a session pale.
