Pours a clear amber color with a tight, white head that leaves little bits of lacing.
Smells of toasted malt and some muted, floral hops.
Tastes of the broad malts layered with some bright hops. Malts lead off with notes of toasted bread, toffee, cracker, and honey. This gives way to some pine and floral hops. Yeast comes next with a bit of spice and banana. Finishes fairly clean with a bit of lingering spice.
Mouthfeel is medium with a smooth amount of carbonation.
Overall, this is solid, but I want some more hops all around.

Poured from the can into a tulip glass.
A Belgian hopped up wit hybrid. Looking in the glass quite amber colored for the body, sort of a copper orange, and mostly clear with a few odd streams of carbonation. Head is light creamed top white, with a bit of yellow, and settles to a simple half finger. Not sure what to make of this, but it otherwise looks fine but obviously not to style, with a real nice orange orb glow.
Very closed nose. Hints of biscuit and graham cracker like malt character and very faint florals. Just barely hints at some Belgian character, but hardly anything hop forward either. So far it's coming off like a Belgian Ambre than anything and a very closed one at that.
Palate makes some interesting turns. Chewy malt body and a sense of nice sugars which makes and almost soft toffee flavor in the mid palate. Hits more towards a bit of pine bitterness as well and a little bit of estery quality that gets almost into banana territory. Creamy aftertaste and mouthfeel as well.
Doesn't quite come off like a wit, nor an IPA exactly either, more like an interesting Belgian ambre than anything.

Pint can. I'm getting a lot of Belgian Wit and not much IPA -- at all -- except for some bitterness. Not really my style. But I'm excited to see another local brewery getting distributed nearby!! Love the cans, too. Really prefer their other IPA.
