Obtained can of Pitchfork in a trade. I've never seen any products from this brewery before but, based on this one, I hope to have the opportunity to try others. I thought Pitchfork was a fine example of a very tasty Pale Ale emphasizing a New Zealand hop with which I was also unfamiliar. 6% ABV was perfect for this product. Wish I had more than one lonely can.

Poured from the can into a nonic pint glass.

Creamy topped off white head, making half a finger only in height though. Sits on a nice pale copper and somewhat clear body, with a fairly good amount of very fine carbonation.

Sticky caramel malt on the aroma, with a bit of sugary hop and malt quality. Touches slightly pine a bit but is definitely caramel forward, more in a soupy taffy like quality. There's also a bit of odd evaporated milk like sense to this as well which seems a bit out of place but isn't large at least.

Palate seems to be fairly straightfoward. Slightly wet bodied caramel mixing with some pine like bitterness and a faint hint of tropical pineapple. Finishes quite fast and a bit fleeting in flavor on the swallow. Faint touches of biscuity cookie dough as well. Not much really else going on.

Drinkable but not memorable.

Had this on tap at the brewery. Very well made pale ale. Juicy and sweet with nice malt and body. Minimal bitterness. Really well made.

PS: $8 a pint pour is pretty rediculous pricing however.
