Easy walk from Prison City, located on the main street. It didn't look like any thought was put into the interior, kind of a jumbled mess of tables and empty boxes. Short bar. Charged $1 extra on the beers because they had a band (Friday night). Beer was Ok. Did not feel comfortable in there.

I visited this wonderful little brewpub on a Saturday night while back in my hometown. It is a clean, well-kept area, and they had a great string trio singing on the night we visited. The bartender was friendly and the beer was very well made. I especially enjoyed a New England style IPA. All of the beer, though, was well-made and enjoyable.

This brewery has lots of potential. They are moving to a much better location which will help them out a lot. Their beer is very good and has a creative selection. I believe they have 9 beers on tap usually each one is a different style which is nice to have options based on your tastes. Usually pretty quiet place because of the location and a small bar. Give this place time and I think it will explode in popularity. You gotta start off small then the business will eventually grow bigger. Great beer, good selection, fun place to go.

Was there the night Shep's opened and have been back with (too much) regularity. Friendly people and good beer. Garrett has produced a wide variety a beers but not so many that he has become a master of none. Personally think his best are his Czech Pils, Sunrise IPA, and Scotch Ale, the best of his best and can compete with Scotch Ales you will have anywhere. It is certainly worth the stop if you are in Auburn or Central NY and well worth the drive if you want to hit good breweries.
