Slow day in Middletown, just the locals enjoying $3 happy hour pints. Got the Palisades Pale Ale and IPA. Did not get food. Service was good and attentive. Selection was decent with about 8 choices. Smallish bar in a larger section with a couple of TVs playing ice hockey(?) and baseball. Other side of building is more of the pizza place. Brewing takes place in the back with a large glass window to see the tanks. Beers not very good. If you find yourself here, then stop in. Otherwise, just keep going.

A - The brewpub is in the old Icehouse with some original looking freezer doors. The place is laid out weird on one side is the bar where you order your beer the other side is the restaurant.
Q - I was more than suprised regarding the quality of beers. All of them were quite tasty.
S - I would like a full service place. You order your drinks on one side and your food on the other and then someone brings it to you. I dont get it. The server who brought our food was nice and was a little more helpful than I expected.
S - a bunch of different good beers on tap. Lager, Wheat, Pale, IPA, Imperial Stout, ESB, and a Brown ale.
F - I had a juicy burger with tater tots and the wife had blackened chicken. The menu is small but I didnt come here for the food.
V - Pretty good prices. Happy hour they have 2 pints.
I wish I had more reasons to go to Middletown, next time I am up there I will go again.

Reminds me of a pizza place and that is their specialty (and brew). One room is for pizza and another room is where the bar and beer is located. The locals and regulars are friendly.
All stainless steel tap nozzles and the kitchen can be seen if one walks around toward the back of the pizza room. Restroom was clean. Counter top bar that is like a backwards L with seating at both ends as well. A couple of TV's are in the Bar room.
Service was friendly, prompt, and the beer knowledge needs a little work however befriend your bartender.
Several of their own beers and I did not notice if there were any guest beers, also no cask. The Stout was a possible notable and the Honey Wheat was a notable or visa versa (forgot to specify in my notes). According to the regulars the new owners changed the recipes of all the other beers, except the aforesaid. They're still perfecting the altered recipes.
The pizza was good.
reasonable
