16oz glass at Beer Revolution YEGDT, where this is called A Winter Tale - that's what Mill Street's web page for it is called as well.
This beer appears a murky, dark copper amber colour, with one finger of puffy, loosely foamy, and somewhat creamy off-white head, which leaves absolutely nothing in the way of lace around the glass as it quickly sinks away.
It smells of mixed and matched earthy seasonal (not this one, though) spice, generic sour fruit, Halls menthol lozenges, gritty caramel malt, and weedy, leafy, and well-perfumed hops. The taste is bready caramel malt, sharp earthy yeast, sassy dark fruit, cinnamon, clove, and ginger spice, and more subtle earthy, leafy, and booze-fueled hops.
The carbonation is mostly understated in its frothy emanations, the body a stolid medium weight, and smooth, sure, but with a few sour and yeasty interlopers causing trouble. It finishes off-dry, the fruity caramel malt, in conjunction with the lingering cake spice, falling just about so.
For its weak holiday seasonal notes, and its late arrival out here in the west (maybe they were going for a Valentines Day thing?), I cannot really say very many positive things about this one. Add in the confusion over its actual name, and I'm now so very tired of it.

A tasty winter warmer. Cinammon in nose, taste, and, mouthfeel.
Goes down nicely on a February night.
