Brewed with pale barley and wheat malts and flavoured with varieties of American and German hops famed for their floral “white wine”, tropical and stone fruit flavours. Using English ale yeast and left unfiltered for added fruitiness, this beer has a partially soured mash and is aged in contact with French oak. The most noticeable feature of this beer is of course its intense hoppiness, which balance the round fruitiness of the hops and yeast. We make a few different IPA’s at Mill Street, but this is our flagship. Brewed on the west coast of Lake Ontario.

NO can date, just a code, picked up yesterday at the brewery
Pours a larger fluffy dense head with nice soapy lacing, great retention, very hazy cloudy lemony-tan color
Nose brings clear mosaic out front, and sure enough mosaic on the label, onion pine, earthy dank onion, light tropical fruit and citrus behind that but barely, light blond malt
Taste brings light citrus and grapefruit zest, very bitter orange rind like, into big pine and earthy dank onion again, bad mosaic dominating, light blond malt, creamy malt like, pithy, a little thin, dry gritty finish, turning a little astringent as well, bitter rind lingering
Mouth is med to lighter bod, a bit thin, astringent, higher fluffy carb
Overall another poor beer, malts are barely there and didn't even come close to the base for a good beer, and the hops were bad with the pine onion mosaic, and astringent finish, just sad beer

Murky orange color with a distinct citrus taste (I believe the orange color encouraged to call it a mild orange flavor). Mildly tangy. Pleasant foam head (very white).

I was pleasantly surprised by this. The head was nice and white, fairly thick depending on the pour method, and seemed to last reasonably well. Quite a fruity smell to it, backed up by the taste, with lots of citrous notes. The feel in the mouth was good, with no lingering issues.

Got this one at the LCBO this past summer
From a 16oz can into a snifter
APPEARANCE: Pours a 2+ finger, medium looking, fluffy white head with excellent retention. Murky gamboge orange in color with medium levels of carbonation. Head fades to a full foamy cap leaving touches of lacing on the glass. A splotchy wisp remains until the end leaving dots of lacing falling down the glass as it empties.
SMELL: Pine, grapefruit, mango and some pineapple on the nose. Decent strength and some nice fruit character here.
TASTE: Grapefruit, pine flavors, pineapple and mango up front. Fruity and tropical. A big finish of pineapple, grapefruit, some tropical notes and hop bitterness linger on the palate. Notes of bread too.
PALATE: Medium body with higher levels of carbonation. A little foamy on the palate, goes down fine and finishes dry. A touch of hop bitterness lingers.
OVERALL: Okay I guess. Some restrained bitterness and there’s definitely some well measured hop character here. This is definitely more New England style than it is a West Coast style IPA. Either way, it’s nice but nothing worth writing home about.

This is a refreshing hazy IPA, very good both on tap and in the can, unlike many Canadian beers which don't have much head when from the cans. Recommended.
