Not on the regular beer list. Looks like it's a seasonal special. Served at cellar temperature in a big ole mug. Cloudy, orange colored, and has a solid, sticky head. The foam persisted to the bitter (haha) end, and had a shiny quality.

Aroma was a touch cheesy, with a heavy yeasty twang, which comes through in the taste as well. Orange/tangerine more than grapefruit with some earthiness and toasty grain and light fruit as well - peaches maybe? Assertively bitter finish. Carbonation is appropriately low, and has that lovely casky creamy feel. Quite high in drinkability as well, being smooth and refreshing.

A tough one to rate though. The hop flavour and aroma are not prominent enough, and gets obliterated by the yeastiness. As it is though, I did enjoy it but it's a bit tame, and lacks the "kicked in the teeth by hops" character that I expect from IPAs.

I'll defer to the "I liked it" argument for rating purposes, but I wouldn't recommend this if you're looking for serious hops.

This is a special cask only IPA that was recently released at the brewpub. Im not sure about ABV or availability. I suspect its the same recipe as the other IPA which was available on tap.

It was served in thick handled mug and the first thing I noticed was the billowy tan head, quite impressive for a cask beer, a sparkley mustve been involved. The liquid underneath was rusty and quite turbid. The aroma is lightly hoppy with a weird metallic/herbal feel. The hops stand out in front but some grainy malt and booze heat also shows. The taste is light for an IPA with some citric, earthy hop bitterness and a burnt caramel malt feel. Hop flavors are too low and there is a distinct fusel alcohol taste. The mouthfeel is watery and slightly numbing from the booze. The finish is somewhat bitter and muddled with wierd caramel and hop flavors.

This is a subpar IPA. Try their Tankhouse ale if you want some actual hop dimension.
