Can picked up at the brewery today, canned on 08/29/19
Pours a very large foamy creamy airy off-white head with moderate retention, soapy foamy lacing, very clear auburn iced-tea color
Nose sweet toasted caramel malts out front, sweet malty aroma, toasty and copper malt aromas, fair hops, herbal, herbal tea especially, fair earthy, and a touch soapy, mild fruity esters from English yeast
Taste more sweet malts out front, again toasty and copper like malts, some caramel and a touch of toffee, moderate sweetness, moderate fruity esters from the English yeast again, a little white raisin, fig, dried mixed fruits kinda thing, hops bring medium bitterness with more herbal, herbal tea, earthy and a touch forest floor without the pine, a hint soapy again, turning spicy on the semi sweet sticky finish, more soapy hops as well as herbal tea and earthy forest floor, mild sweet toffee caramel malts as well lingering
Mouth is med bod, a bit syrupy sweet like, medium to a bit higher carb
Overall not bad, pretty solid recipe for English IPA, nice malt profile although maybe a bit too sweet, could use a bit more attenuation as well, hops are on with the style, I do like carbonation but this is a bit high for an English style IPA which usually have lower carbonation, but solid beer otherwise
