Served on tap in shaker pint. Ale is opaque black in color, with a finger of khaki foam. Some lacing is left behind. Aroma is floral and roasty, just as a good black IPA should. Flavors of roasted coffee with cream, floral hops, and some pine notes. Just a hint of bitterness on the backend. Where Black Hops really excels is in the feel: creamy and on the thicker side, and very smooth.
