One of my favorites from FBC, this one holds more to tradition than many American breweries tend to anymore.
Look: It's a pale gold in color with a fluffy white head sustained by consistently rising carbonation. Good lacing is left behind in patches.
Smell: It's got the dryer, more champage-like nose that I love about traditional Kolsches. A bit of a white wine / shale element that's countered by just a bit of malty sweetness.
Taste: Biscuity malts add just a little sweetness to an appropriately dry taste overall. Just a touch vinous with the same shale notes in the smell, the malty sweetness adds just enough balance to it.
Feel: It's as light as it should be but crisp and lively, semi-dry in the feel until the end.

Poured from howler to pils glass. Straw in color and full off carbonation at first pour. A finger of foam is produced, with bubbles rolling up the sides of the glass. Aromas of biscuit and spicy hops, with a flavor that tracks, along with a crushed white grape.
