Appearance: Pours a light brown with an inch and a half head that dissolves quickly
Aroma: very English hoppy with a sweet yeasty smell. You really have to smell for the pecan but seems to be the norm for a pecan ale/porter
Taste: Very nutty and full at first but a little light on the back end. The pecan smell comes through the nostrils in the end. Very balanced taste for a brown ale.
Overall: This beer is brewed in Denton,Texas and is about 20 mins from my place. This brew is only available in their tasting room but is one of my new favorites. They will fill a 32 oz growler for you if you can't stay. This is a good break from Newcastle and LM's Southern Pecan. This is a perfect brown ale for the fall. Not too heavy but not light, just that perfect medium. I really like this brew.
