For this Double IPA, we tracked down some of the rarest and most sought after hops. Mosaic, Citra, Mandarina Bavaria, Waimea and Calypso hops create layers of juicy and tropical fruit flavors. Oat and wheat soften the body of the beer, allowing the hops to shine.

Had on tap and from can. This is a juicy, almost NE-style IPA that has a nice balance of malt to hops without strong bitterness. Taste is predominantly sweet fruit, mostly tropical and peach. It is not a typical IPA, and seems to be either cherished (including by me) or scorned for its uniqueness. Worth a try to find out what you think.

A thanks to the commander of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a dark golden/orange color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of caramel malts, tropical fruits. Taste is floral hops, tropical fruits, malts, but much less than the aroma, light alcohol, mild bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer, but not the hop bomb I expect from this style.

Picked up a discounted can for $1.75 marked canned on Feb 2017 so well over 8 months old. Pretty much sealed my fate since the beer drinks all malty with some mild flower hops and a well hidden ABV somewhat bready. Time has not done well for this beer.

Pours unremarkable light orange, though lacing lingers quite a bit. Smell is bland light malt. Taste is malt dominant, with hefty amount of floral hops well-integrated. Too often beers go for floral and end up with acrid, in my opinion, especially with big IPAs. Feel is a bit dry but pretty refreshing for the ABV. Overall, solid. Reminds me vaguely of Ballsy Point's Big Eye, but more balanced.

Appearance: clear orange in color with a 1/2" head that slowly falls to a spotty surface covering.
Smell: mild tropical fruits is all you can detect.
Taste: caramel, mild wheat, orange, pineapple, mango, and a moderate bitterness.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Lightly crisp throughout.
Overall: easy to drink this tropical fruit centric DIPA.

This is not an IPA. It tasted like a cross between a cheap chardonnay and some mead I brewed using bread yeast. I had to create an account just to comment how terrible this was.

On draft, in a tulip glass.
Clear, medium yellow golden in color, white head. Well rounded hop aroma - herbal, fruity, pine. Hop dominated, bitter, little malt flavor. Thinner bodied
