Smooth, fluffy DIPA with tons of oats and wheat. A massive dose of Rakau & Kohatu hops leads to flavors of ripe plum, candied lime, & fresh pineapple.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a very hazy golden color with a 1.2 inch head. Smell is of peaches, tropical fruits. Taste is of pineapple, pine, light peaches and mild bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is an enjoyable beer.

A- pours cloudy, straw colored. Nice and hazy for those that like that.
S- wonderful tropical aroma!
T- definitely pick up the lime and pineapple notes as described on the can. Lots of extras in here.
M- unremarkable, but not objectionable.
O-a fun beer. I am not sure this would be a standard go-to for me, but it's interesting and enjoyable to try.

Fun to try some New Zealand hops and found a fresh four pack at Wegmans. Canned on 1/19 and very reasonably priced for a DIPA. This one contains lactose and is very juicy. Strong citrus scent on opening the 16 oz can. Great fluffy mouthfeel and taste has shades of peach and pineapple to me. It is easy to drink and you can’t taste the 8% alcohol. I will have to keep an eye out for more like this.

Canned on 1-19-21.

A - Medium opaque golden tan color with moderate, dense white lacing.

S - Oily apricot, mango, pineapple, sweet tropical fruit, and some lime mixed in with the nose.

T - Some oiliness in the form of pine, tropical fruit, light lime on the back side, pineapple with spicy/peppery pineapple fruit rind, mango, and apricot. Ends on the sweeter side and overall is very fruity.

M - Thick, chewy, and coats the mouth with an aggressive and pulpy tropical fruit coating that creates a cotton-like sensation on the palate that's more on the dry side.

O - The 8% ABV is very well hidden and first time experiencing these hops (that I can remember). Worth checking out.
