Poured into a wide mouth, grip shaped goblet: color is gold, light effervescence, head is very light tan and presents 1+ fingers thick, head remains a solid top with spottying lacing on the glass sides.
Smell is subdued at first but notable aromas of toast, malt, light honey, hints of pine and herbal hops.
Taste is in the vein of classic AIPAs - malt forward with toast/malt/honey flavors then hop balances with notes of pine, citrus, light herbal notes.
Mouthfeel is moderate carbonation, low/moderate sweetness, moderate bitterness, lingering bitter flavor.
Overall a crisp, bitter, malty IPA that reaches back to stylings of early AIPAs with a lightening mouthfeel from the added honey, while the honey adds aroma and flavor depth.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a gorgeous golden-honey color with a modest but persistent off-white head. Great lacing. Initial impression is pineapple, grapefruit, mango, and a touch of pine resin. Mouthfeel is medium - perfect for the style. Finish fades to a slightly sweet pine resin. Very enjoyable.
