On tap at the Surf 'N' Suds Beer Festival held at Carpenteria State Beach in Carpenteria, CA.
Pours a murky dark orange with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with grain, rye, smoke, funk, Brett, and fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour grain, rye, earth, funk, Brett, and slight fruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty, but I am not getting any distinct loquat qualities in the smell or taste.
