Had Big Chromatic Energy at the LCB taproom, Tehachapi, California, on draft into tulip.
Pours bright orange juice with 1-finger near-white head, which dissipates to a persistent film, leaving some sketchy lace down the glass. Aroma of moderate malt off pour, then big citrus, before tart stone fruit joins. Begins with carbonation bite, then nice malt back, leading into big citrus, which is accented by some later arriving resin, and then joined by tart stone fruit, before a citrus-crisp but not bitter (or alcohol-driven) finish.
A little more malt presence than typical for an NEIPA, but then it's a "triple" and the 11.00 ABV needs to be and is well-hidden, in this otherwise rather typical non-New England NEIPA.
