Poured from a can into a slightly tapered pub glass.
Pours a nearly crystal-clear straw-gold with an excellent two-fingered pillowy white head that retains well, and gives way to decent lacing.
The aromas are restrained but excellent and spot-on for the style. Clean grain balanced with spicy, grassy, and floral hop aromas.
The flavor is a bit more muddled, but still solid. Clean grain malts forward with a grape and berry fruitiness in mid-stream. The back end of the brew is floral and grassy hops and a touch of citrus acidity. Less of the spicy quality on the palate.
The brew is solidly medium. Excellent carbonation, but not a bubble fest. It isn't crisp, but it is somewhat drying at the finish. Very drinkable.
This is a solid version of the style that would benefit from just a touch more clarity on the palate. Pretty darn good regardless.

12 oz can poured into Powder Hollow tumbler.
Hazy appearance with a golden straw color and a tall fluffy head.
Fresh straw and hay aromas with floral and spicy hop. Very clean. Exceptional.
Flavor, on the contrary, is rather dirty, with notes of dirty sock and dusty earth. Slight dead grass, flower pedal, dust.
Feel is crisp but kinda chalky and starchy. Does have a nice creaminess to it though. Leaves a coating on the tongue.
Overall this started out on track to be fantastic but fell short in the flavor and feel categories. Its an average Kolsch and nothing I'd be inclined to try again.

Take 16 Country Mile Kolsch, 4.6% ABV, 13 IBU. Pours thin and pale yellow, with no head on a careful taproom pour. Nose is grainy, taste is malty and grainy, with a slight bitter close. Good mouthfeel, overall very good.

This beer pours a very clear golden color. The head wasn't very thick, or long lasting, but the beer is very bubbly when poured from the bottle. The nose has almost a wheat smell to it, but is very slight. The taste is fairly light, it does have some of a hefe flavor. There is a bit of sweetness to it. A fairly refreshing beer. Not too watery.

On tap at Cheese Cave in Faribault.
This is quite creamy in feel and look of the head (quite white, thin with some lacing). Not typically thin and crisp. Semi-rich malt character and minimal hops with a little bigger mouthfeel. Some yeast character. Not a bad beer. A little unexpected in how it showed.

64 oz Growler from the Brewery.
L Straw to Yellow with glass like clarity capped by a white foam
S bright grain with a hint of euro hop
T clean and easy with hints of malt and euro hop while quite simple
F light feel with a medium carb level
O Leaves you wanting another - which is what you would expect in this style.

On tap at Sterlings - Solid offering from a well-rounded newcomer to the brew scene. Happy my wife is from Luverne, just need to expand those tap-room hours to the weekend so I can bring by growler down next time!

Enjoyed on tap. Seems spot on for the style. Nice biscuit sweetness in the aroma. Flavor is biscuity with a hint of citrus and a crisp, lightly bitter finish. Very well done.
