Poured into a nonic point.
Pours brownish black. Excellent dark tan head. Good retention and lacing.
Aromas of roasted malt and hints of hopping.
Flavor checks the boxes for the style. Solid roasted malts. Not sweet at all. Ashy and astringent. A bit of hopping at the finish. Nothing remarkable but hits it.
Well carbonated with a moderate slightly drying finish. Extremely drinkable.
It isn't terribly memorable, but it hits every dry stout note, and doesn't get "tired" after one. A nice almost sessionable brew.

Smallish beer overall. Roast aroma. Brown/black with a rather large tan head. Good streak of bitterness in taste along with a not sweet dark malt carrying some roast. Carbonation felt too much ( I like British ale more flat). Some extended flavor on finish. Some hop flavor in the mix too. It is a small beer so it has a thinness to feel and taste.
Thanks Jason.

Take 16 Brewing Stormy Jack Irish Dry Stout, 4.8% ABV, 36 IBU. Small local brewery, thought I'd give it a try. Told it was a porter, but I see it is a dry stout. Not much flavor, dry finish. OKish.

Taking it as an irish dry stout, it fit the bill. Good nose, light mouthfeel. Flavor was not too deep, but it made it extremely "2nd glass" friendly.
Growler fill. Good stuff!
