Let your senses get carried away in a cognitive experience as you take in the mystery of this black sour. Flavors of dark fruit with complex acidity, fermented with a mixed culture for over a year, create a heady oak character. As you savor this beer take time to think, experience, learn, and remember.

750ml bottle. Per the label this is 'VINTAGE 2022'.
Dark brown colored body, with a cherry red back lit edge. Brown foam head, which goes to small islands and a higher ring. Long lasting surface storm. No lacing.
Aroma of plum, oak, and funk (tobacco and tea).
Taste is very sour but still has a bit of balancing sweetness. Authentic flavors of plum, cherry, oak, lemon, prune, and funk (tea and leather/tobacco). Loss of sweetness in the aftertaste.
More than medium mouthfeel. Very dry finish. Excellent carbonation.
Very well done barrel aged sour, with much more density and depth than any kettle sour.
