The beer list says its brewed with some espresso.
Given to me with a film of tan head that quickly dissipates. The color is black brown with tan highlights. Smell offers slight hints of coffee through deep roasted malts and medium hopping. Taste is like brownies with a drop of espresso.

Listed as a porter brewed with espresso, the Taurus Porter arrived in a pint glass a rich dark black color with dark brown accents. A big, creamy cragly head of foam stuck firmly on top of the brew. Enticing for sure. Aromas began with a nice roastiness and dark malts. A touch of chocolate that moves into a nice solid dark coffee aroma. Pretty nice, but I was hoping for a bit more prominent coffee aroma in this one.
First sip brings a roasted, toasty dark malt with a bit of chocolate and caramel coming through. As it goes down the espresso moves in and gives a good coffee flavor without becoming overpowering. Finishes a bit dry and slightly bitter with a burnt coffee aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is filling but it seems to be just a touch on the thin side. I'd like to see a bit more oomph here. Overall, I'm a big fan of coffee brews so it was great to see Lunar had brewed one up. Pretty easy drinking, I could see myself having a few. Hopefully it might still be on the next time I am there.
