Black color with ruby brown highlights. Quick light brown head.
Yeasty, dry smelling roasted malt. Notes of light, dark chocolate and a little coffee. Maybe some fruity notes from the yeast. Pretty simple though. Smells perfect for a session.
Dry from start too finish, but the finish is a little silky too. Flavors cover the roasted malt spectrum, coffee, chocolate, maybe some dark cavendish tobacco. Not to mention the soft fruit from the yeast it seems. Pretty good beer, glad I remebered to bring my growler for a refill this time.
