Copenhagen 3/1 2017. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. What looks like a clenched black fist with a huge red ruby ring on the label. Looks like the Black Panthers with some seriously campy taste in jewelry.
Pours slightly hazy reddish dark brown with a creamy, fluffy, off-white head. Settles as a thin layer of foam just covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweet caramel, roasted malts and a subdued tart fruitiness.
Soft carbonation and watery texture. Lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a medium strong sour bitterness. Aftertaste is lightly bitter.
Not outstanding - but a pretty nice, light beer for a rainy and stormy night in Copenhagen.

Pint at the Crosse Keys JDW.
A: Bronze to red in colour, slightly thick looking, small head, minimal.
S: Minimal coffee, but the aroma wasn’t overly pronounced.
T: Dark chocolate, coffee, rye, strawberry hubba bubba, some charcoal, long bitter finish.
M: Nice texture, light body, smooth, not much carbonation.
O: One for a cold day, pretty sessionable beer.
