Copenhagen 22/4 2018. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh Ø. Big Bloke in red T-shirt flexing his impressive hairy biceps on the label.
Pours red-tinged amber with a small white head. Settles as a thin, transparent layer of foam. No lacing.
Aroma is not very strong. Light fruitiness, caramel and hints of a sugary quality.
Soft yet lightly prickly carbonation. Texture is medium thick.
Flavor is medium sweet and fairly pleasant. Followed by light bitterness. Aftertaste is caramel sweet with very light roastiness. Lingering bitterness in the background.
Sweetish Amber Ale which could use a little more roastiness and bitterness to hit the American style it is trying to simulate.
