Copenhagen 28/9 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny, Østerfælled Torv, Kbh. Ø. Exploding moon on the label - which kind of makes sense as it’s called Moonstone. The cow in the background is somewhat more mysterious.
Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Settles as a fine thin layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Sweet slightly roasted aroma. Toffee, chocolate and dark roasted malts. Some cocoa powder in there as well.
Soft carbonation and watery texture. Lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is surprisingly bitter with a sour streak. Only a mild sweetness.
Not a crowd pleaser.
