A festive full-bodied traditional dark Porter hopped with Bramling Cross and Fuggles hops creating a spicy bitterness to compliment it’s chocolate and nut flavours. The perfect ale for a cold winters night. Hops - Bramling Cross, Fuggles.

Copenhagen 17/11 2016. 50 cl bottle from Meny. What looks like Red Robin with an electric guitar on the label. I assume that explains the "Rockin Robin".
Pours dark brown with off-white head. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is roasted malts and a quite heavy odeur of herbal ginger. Caramel and toffee. Light citrus notes. Reminds me of some kind of shot you would expect to have exceptional nutritional value. With a little candy added to make it bearable.
Medium strong carbonation and watery palate. Lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is rather tart bordering on the acidic. Aftertaste is sour ginger and citrus. Stays with you for uncomfortably long.
Ginger will always be a mystery for me. Why do health nuts believe that everything healthy should taste awful. That is the only reason that I can come up with to put ginger in to a perfectly fine beer.
