Aged in Jim Beam barrels. Sweet, malty, bourbon, vanilla, and caramel flavors shine through on this smooth as silk beer. The low bitterness and medium body allows the malt and oak flavors to shine through. Orange/copper in color.

Wow what a treat! So we are in Anchorage on our last day of vacation and the family decides on a restaurant...unbeknownst to me it ts the Glacier Brewhouse. This is a tourist place for sure. They have a list of the cruise ships that arrived that day on the menu and a welcome to same.

The brew arrived at an approrpiate temperature in a standard shaker pint..a nice thistle would have been more of a showcase. It was an opaque brown with nearly non-existent tan head and little effervessence. Aroma was rich chocolate malt, some slight oak and a touch of fruit. Taste was rich with understated wood notes, chocolate malt, toffee, some cafe-au-lait. Bourbon accents faintly discernable. Mouthfeel was slightly slick and was not at all heavy...odd but true. Very enjoyable with my excellent Salmon Caeser.
