Aged in Jim Beam barrels. Medium bodied, malty lager, with big flavors of vanilla, bourbon and chocolate. The color is a brilliant dark ruby. Smoooooth. Nitrogenated.

A truly exceptional beer. Beautiful dark brown beer with a rather wispy head that diminishes quickly. As dark as a dopplebock.
Lovely aromas of fresh fruits, dark chocolate, brown sugar and sherry.
Fabulous taste. The oak ageing adds lots of vanilla, coconut, and vinous tastes. Also chocolate, malt, raisins and toffee. Very complex palate and very pleasing. Much more to taste than a normal bock or even a dopplebock.
Mouthfeel is just right; chewy, sturdy texture with residual sweetness and lingering flavors.
This is a big beer but very drinkable. Very much a winter's night beer here in Alaska.
I had the pleasure of tasting this beer with the Glacier brewmaster who had lots to say about his brewing philosophy. This is one of the best beers I've ever tasted at my favorite brew-pub.
