Aged in Jim Beam barrels. "Drunken Pumpkin pie in your face" best describes this fall brew. Our brewers combined 159 pounds of pumpkin with a plethora of spices. Flavors of bourbon, pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove dominate. Served in a snifter.

For me, this and Elysian's Great Pumpkin were the best beers at this year's Pumpkin Fest at Elysian Brewing in Seattle. This was also the first beer to run out, so apparently others agree with me. Really superb, one of the best pumpkin brews I have had. It was brewed with American 2-Row. Wheat, and a touch of light specialty malt. Hopped with German Northern Brewer hops. Pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove were used as well. Starting gravity was 20 degrees plato. Described by the brewers as "pumpkin pie in your face".
Poured an orange amber with a good creamy head and nice lacing. Smells off very spicy clove, cinnamon, wintergreen, wax, and sweet malt. The taste is also hugely spicy, but this is balanced nicely by big flavors of creamy pumpkin and malt. More clove, wintergreen, and wax come through. Huge flavors and mouthfeel and quite creamy to boot. Really delicious and indeed in your face.
